Rather than leaving your hallway nook to collect dust or piles of jackets, use the space as a practical yet decorative area of your home. Whether you use the space for additional seating or prefer to set up a table for your phone house line, there are numerous options for decorating such small spaces. The walls of your hallway nook can also serve -- use it to house your favorite photo collections, artwork, or your own mural designs. Does this Spark an idea?
Instructions
- 1
Place a small table within the nook. Use the table to house favorite photos of friends and family, small photo albums, vases of fresh-cut or dried flowers, framed artwork, knick-knacks, or any other items you feel suit the space.
2Hang one large framed piece of artwork up and behind the table, or go for three or four small photos or pictures. Frame black-and-white photos of your city, favorite photos of family and friends, wedding photos, or other photos or pictures you want to use in the space.
3Add additional embellishments that fit the space as desired, such as decorative umbrella stands or holders, a coat pole, or appropriately fitting sculpture for one corner of the nook.
