How to Decorate a Hallway Nook

Rather than leaving your hallway nook to collect dust or piles of jackets, use the space as a practical yet decorative area of your home. Whether you use the space for additional seating or prefer to set up a table for your phone house line, there are numerous options for decorating such small spaces. The walls of your hallway nook can also serve -- use it to house your favorite photo collections, artwork, or your own mural designs. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

    1

Place a small table within the nook. Use the table to house favorite photos of friends and family, small photo albums, vases of fresh-cut or dried flowers, framed artwork, knick-knacks, or any other items you feel suit the space.

    2

Hang one large framed piece of artwork up and behind the table, or go for three or four small photos or pictures. Frame black-and-white photos of your city, favorite photos of family and friends, wedding photos, or other photos or pictures you want to use in the space.

    3

Add additional embellishments that fit the space as desired, such as decorative umbrella stands or holders, a coat pole, or appropriately fitting sculpture for one corner of the nook.
