Christmas Party Centerpiece Ideas

Christmas Party Centerpiece Ideas

Homemade Christmas centerpieces add a festive touch to any holiday party. The centerpieces create a focal point for the table and add overall ambiance to the gathering. When the party is over, send the centerpieces home with some of the guests as door prizes or keep them on your table for the rest of the holiday season. Does this Spark an idea?

Artificial Snow

Craft stores sell artificial snow products that look very realistic. Add water to the clear crystals to expand them and make them moist, turning them from dry crystals into wet, snow-like globs. Look for the crystals near the floral supplies in most craft stores. Once the artificial snow is mixed, place it in a bowl, vase or other decorative container. Arrange pine boughs, pine cones or Christmas ball ornaments in the snow-like gel.

Christmas Candy

Jars of Christmas candy make a visually appealing and tasty centerpiece. Choose jars of various sizes and shapes for visual interest and fill them with different types of Christmas candies. Colorful candies work best in glass jars because they add color to the display. Tie bows around the middle of the jars for extra detail. Candy jars work well as door prizes for the guests. Another option is to provide guests with small cellophane bags that they fill with candy at the end of the evening for a sweet party favor.

Gifts

Wrapped gifts instantly dress up the center of a table without adding a lot of expense. Use some of your own gifts from under the tree or wrap empty boxes for the centerpiece. Choose coordinating Christmas wrapping paper so the gifts complement one another. Add ribbons around the packages with colorful bows in the middle. Stack the gifts into a neat arrangement in the middle of the table.

Ornaments

Christmas ball ornaments work well for more than just the tree. Use them in a simple centerpiece for the Christmas party. Decorative taper candlestick holders offer creative pedestals for the ornaments. Choose candle holders in a variety of heights to create visual interest in the centerpiece. Gently place one ball ornament on top of each candle holder. For a custom look, use glitter and glue to write letters on the ornaments. Write one letter on each ornament to spell out a Christmas greeting or word such as "joy" or "noel." Bead Christmas tree garlands work well at the base of the candle holders as an additional accent.
