How to Lift an Old Coffee Stain out of a Tablecloth

How to Lift an Old Coffee Stain out of a Tablecloth

Whenever you use your tablecloth, there is a chance that it will end up with a stain. For example, when relaxing at your table in the morning or after a meal with a cup of coffee, some of that coffee could spill out. If you don't notice the stain right away, you could end up with an old coffee stain on your tablecloth, which can be more difficult but not impossible for you to deal with. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

    1

Remove the tablecloth from your table and bring it to a surface that will not be damaged by moisture, such as your kitchen countertop.

    2

Run a sponge under cool water in your sink, and dab the old coffee stain repeatedly. This can help lift up at least some of the stain.

    3

Fill the sink with cool water and place the area of the tablecloth with the coffee stain inside. Let it soak for at least half an hour.

    4

Fill a container with 2 cups of cool water and 1 tbsp. of dish soap. Use your sponge to dab the stain with this new cleaning solution after the tablecloth soaks. This can help remove even more of the stain.

    5

Cover the old coffee stains in a pre-treat stain remover product. Wait about 10 minutes and then wash in your washing machine with cool water. If it's safe for the tablecloth fabric, add about a half a capful of bleach to the wash.
